Qantas today announced a significant expansion of its codeshare agreement with China Eastern, giving Australians greater direct access to key markets in China.
From 1 May, Qantas will codeshare on China Eastern’s Melbourne-Shanghai services, which operate daily, and its Sydney-Nanjing-Beijing services, which operate three times per week. Qantas will also begin codesharing on China Eastern’s domestic Shanghai-Nanjing flights.
The changes mean Qantas customers can choose from 17 direct Qantas or China Eastern services to mainland China each week – with connections via Shanghai to 11 key domestic destinations.
Qantas is building on our strong relationship with China Eastern to support rapidly growing corporate travel and tourism between Australia and China. This announcement delivers on our commitment to expanding Qantas’ Asian network through our airline partnerships.
