Qantas has launched Airbus A380 services to Hong Kong. The city becomes the fourth A380 destination in the Qantas network. The Australian airline will fly the new service four times a week from Sydney, on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
Qantas received its 11th and 12th A380s late last year. The new aircraft have also enabled Qantas to mount additional A380 services between Melbourne and London (via Singapore) – up from six flights per week to daily – and between Melbourne and Los Angeles, which rises from four flights per week to daily.
The Qantas A380 seats 450 passengers in a four-class configuration, with 14 seats in first class, 72 seats in business class, 32 in premium economy and 332 in economy.
