Qantas is introducing a new international weight-based checked baggage policy. This will allow for easier connections between Qantas and Emirates operated services between and within Europe, Asia, North Africa, the Middle East and Australia.
The new policy has changed to a weight allowance, where there are no longer any restrictions on the number of bags allowed.
The baggage allowance on services to/from the Americas, the Australian Domestic network and some codeshare services are not changing. The changes take effect for tickets issued from 26 February 2013 for travel on or after 31 March 2013. Additional baggage rates have also changed.
