Qantas has announced details of its new Hong Kong and Los Angeles lounges, opening 2014.
The new airport lounges have been designed to enhance the international pre-flight experience for Qantas customers, reflecting their local destinations in design and through cuisine.
“Our customers consistently tell us that Qantas lounges are a key part of their journey,” Qantas International chief executive Simon Hickey said.
“The success of our new Singapore lounge reaffirms our strategy of investing in international lounges which are just as important for our customers.”
Mr Hickey says the majority of inbound Qantas flights to Australia are overnight and therefore customers are keen to dine in the lounge prior to flying in order to maximise their rest time.
Neil Perry’s Rockpool and Spice Temple restaurants has inspired the regional Asian dishes that will be available to customers in Hong Kong, whilst LA offers a mix of West Coast and Asian flavours.
Qantas’ Hong Kong Lounge will open March 2014 and Los Angeles Business Lounge April next year.
