THAI airways has announced its new baggage allowance policy for all classes of travel, with a 10 kilograms increase across the board.
Royal First Class passengers may now check-in 50 kilograms of baggage, from 40 kilograms previously and Royal Silk Class passengers are now allowed 40 kilograms, from 30 kilograms.
Economy Class passengers are allowed 30 kilograms, from 20 kilograms previously, and Royal Orchid Plus members are also entitled additional baggage allowance based on their respective member status.
THAI executive vice president of commercial Flg.Off. Suraphon Israngura Na Ayuthya, said THAI is implementing the new policy to allow an additional 10 kilograms of checked baggage for all classes of travel on all THAI flights.
The new policy intends to increase competitiveness and service level, however, the increased allowance will not be available on flights to and from the United States of America.
Through this increased service offering, THAI aims to generate greater passenger satisfaction in choosing to travel on Thai Airways International.
